After submission by the author(s), each manuscript undergoes an initial screening within a maximum of two weeks. If the manuscript passes this stage, it will be sent to reviewers. Reviewers are given up to one month to complete their reviews. If a reviewer declines or does not respond, the manuscript is reassigned to another reviewer.
If the manuscript is not rejected by the reviewers, it will be returned to the authors for revisions. Once the revised version is approved, the manuscript will proceed to publication.
Initial Formatting Check
Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the journal’s editorial assistant to ensure compliance with the Author Guidelines (within one week). Authors are strongly advised to carefully review and follow the guidelines prior to submission to facilitate faster processing.
Initial Content Evaluation by the Editorial Board
If the manuscript passes the formatting stage, it is then evaluated by the editorial board for relevance and content quality (usually within one week). At this stage, authors may receive preliminary feedback or revision requests aimed at improving the quality of the submission before entering the formal peer review process.
Double-Blind Peer Review
If the manuscript is approved for peer review, it will be sent to two anonymous reviewers. The possible outcomes of the peer review process are:
If both reviewers reject, the manuscript is rejected.
If both recommend major revisions, the manuscript is returned to the author(s) for comprehensive revision.
If one reviewer rejects and the other recommends acceptance or revision, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer, and a final decision will be made based on the outcome.
Revision and Re-evaluation
Authors are required to revise the manuscript based on the reviewers’ feedback and resubmit it. The revised version will be evaluated by the same reviewers to ensure compliance with their recommendations.
Review Monitoring
Reviewers receive reminder emails every five days. If a review is not submitted within 30 days, the manuscript will be reassigned to a new reviewer.
Timeline
Depending on the extent of revisions and the responsiveness of the authors, the full process—from initial submission to final acceptance—takes approximately three months, provided that all reviewer evaluations are positive.
