Exegetical Narrations constitute invaluable resources for understanding the Holy Qur'an and can assist in interpreting its verses from various perspectives. This study aims to classify these exegetical narrations and demonstrate their diverse functions. The main research question addresses the nature of the relationship between the exegetical narrationsof Sūrat al-Ṭūr and its verses, as well as the guiding teachings that can be derived from them. To this end, the exegetical narrations pertaining to Sūrat al-Ṭūr were sourced and collected from various traditional exegetical references. Through a typological analysis, the kinds of relationships between these narrations and the verses of this sūrah were identified, followed by an exposition of their guiding teachings. The typological examination of the exegetical narrations concerning Sūrat al-Tour revealed that the most prevalent types include: esoteric (bāṭinī) interpretation, conceptual interpretation, Qur'an-based reasoning (istinbāṭ), applicative (maṣdāqī) interpretation, verbal (lafẓī) interpretation, explanation of allusions (ishārāt), and general Qur'anic exegesis without reference to a specific verse. Furthermore, the analysis of the guiding teachings derived from these narrations indicates that the predominant themes are: encouragement to reflect upon the Qur'an and the created world; clarification of the status of al-Bayt al-Ma'mūr; encouragement to benefit from the pre-dawn hours; exposition of the status of Imamate and Wilāyah of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them); the obligation to obey them; and the affirmation of the corporeal nature of resurrection (ma'ād).
